Who for:PhD students and early career researchers working in or interested in using cloud computing. Numbers are limited to 30 students.
Where: The cost of summer school attendance will be £500 including student single room accommodation from Monday 6th to Thursday 9th June and all meals from Monday lunch to Friday lunch. For students who wish to arrive on Sunday, the cost will be £550.
Support from SICSA is available for PhD students working in Scotland. Support from the LSCITS project is available for PhD students working in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
The support available will cover the costs of attendance and accommodation but support for travel costs is not available.
We regret that support for students from outside the UK is not available.
Our programme will involve presentations from eminent speakers working in cloud computing and hands-on experience of developing cloud-based systems using Amazon or the StACC private cloud. The programme is still being finalised. You need to have programming expertise and experience in a relevant language such as Java, Python, Ruby, etc.
