Career Profile

Clive was born in the island of Mauritius. His undergraduate study was in Telecommunication Engineering at Kings College London, where he was the top graduate. His final year project in "Measures of cyclostationarity for brain signals" nurtured his interest in signal processing. In the sequel, he started his PhD studies at the Centre of Digital Signal Processing, Cardiff University in October 2004. His PhD thesis addressed the problem of temporomandibular disorder, to which he successfully applied signal processing techniques for its prognosis. This project entailed the collaboration of the Dental Institute of Kings College London and the Sparse Signal Processing Laboratory at University College Dublin. Currently, he is working at Imperial College London within its Communication and Signal Processing Research Group. In particular, his research is focused on the 4D modelling of the wind for its prediction. The benefits of such undertaking are promising, ranging from renewable energy to air pollution control.
