Cold water Cold water is pumped from the storage tank to the kitchen, bathroom, hot water tank inlet and the drinking water system
Pump The pump is a 24v Trailking running at 20psi. The pump is switched on by a pressure switch
Pressure regulator Pressure is regulated by a ½ litre accumulator.
Frost protection The external section of the fresh water outlet pipe can be electrically heated
Filtration All water from the fresh water tank passes through a 5 micron filter
Drinking water Water for drinking is pumped through an airline quality 0.5 micron filtration system – sufficient to remove all bacteria, parasites and even some viruses. The drinking water tap is located over the kitchen sink
Heating
Diesel Heater Hot water is heated by the Webasto diesel heater. This supplies a blown air heat exchanger which sends hot air to the main cabin, shower room, under the bed and to the wardrobe
Electrical Systems
Auxilliary batteries 2 Elecsol 220 amp hour long life batteries (total 440 amp hours at 12 volt connected in series to give 24v)
Control system Antares computer controlled ASM (Auxilliary System Manager). Antares make vehicle auxiliary power systems for the military emergency services, Formula 1 teams and so on. The system monitors both the vehicle and the auxiliary (leisure) battery condition and charges them from the engine alternator as required. Power drain is allowed from both main and auxiliary batteries while linked until the voltage reduces to a predetermined level when the link between them is disconnected. In the event that the auxiliary battery voltage falls below a set minimum, the supply is cut off to most circuits to protect the batteries. The equipment is extremely robust.
24v System Some equipment is run on 24v. Power is taken through the circuit breakers from the auxiliary batteries
12v System Some equipment is run on 12v. Power is supplied from the auxiliary batteries by an Antares 24v to 12v converter and then taken through the circuit breakers.
Mains Power Mains power at 230v is supplied through an external socket via shoreline when available to an RCB and distribution board
Charger Antares 20 amp charger automatically started when mains power connected and designed to be continuously connected without monitoring.
Inverter Antares inverter capable of supplying 2kw at 230v continuously or up to 4kw for up to 10 minutes using the auxiliary batteries as the power source
Control Panel 2 marine quality Blue Seas sub panels containing switchable circuit breakers for the 24 and 12v circuits.
