Localized (adjuvant)SORCEA Phase III Randomised Double-Blind Study Comparing Sorafenib With Placebo in Patients With Resected Primary Renal Cell Carcinoma at High or Intermediate Risk of Relapse Sponsor: Medical Research Council (UK) Adjuvant soreafenib (2 dose levels) vs placebo for completely resected RCC Rationale: Sorafenib may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some
of the enzymes needed for cell growth and by blocking blood flow to the
tumor. Giving sorafenib after surgery may kill any tumor cells that
remain after surgery. It is not yet known whether sorafenib is more
effective than a placebo in treating kidney cancer. Eligibility: Click here Leibovich Score of >3

An open-label, randomized, multi-center, Phase III study to compare the safety and efficacy of TKI258 versus sorafenib in patients with metastatic renal cell carcinoma after failure of anti-angiogenic (VEGF-targeted and mTOR inhibitor) therapies Sponsor: Novartis This study will evaluate the safety and efficacy of Dovitinib versus sorafenib in patients with metastatic renal cell cancer. |
