The Clifton Children's House Montessori Nursery School was established in 1989 and is registered for 24 children. It is situated in a Victorian House not far from the Clifton Suspension Bridge. We start the youngest children (aged between 2 and 3 years) in a smaller group in the afternoons and during their pre-school year they usually come in the mornings. Education continues until the age of 5. Sessions run Monday to Friday for 35 weeks per year. We feel it is preferable to stick to one method of nursery education. We recommend that children progress from a minimum of 2 sessions to 5 sessions per week and that they remain with us until they go into their Reception class at Primary School. As a recognised Private Provider of nursery education in the Bristol Early Years Development and Childcare Plan, a nursery grant of £3.69 per hour for a maximum of 15 hours per week is available for all children from the term after their 3rd birthday. Regular open evenings are held for prospective parents. Contact us for details. Interested parents may visit the school by arrangement. |
