To comply with the Freedom of Information Act, the Clifton Public Library will be posting records, reports, and other information here to better inform the public about our operations and preempt the need for requesting specific records. To request additional records please contact: Andrew Winkel, FOIA P. O. Box 452 Clifton, IL 60927-0452 Note that while the law allows for electronic submission of requests (such as email), let's face it: email is not the most dependable form of communication on the planet. If you really are serious about finding out some information, drop me a letter. Or better yet, stop in at the library. Because this is a new process, we will be revising things as we try to work out the best method to store and maintain these records. Fiscal Year versus Calendar Year: Clifton Public Library, as a component of the Village of Clifton, operates on a fiscal year that begins May 1st and ends April 30th. Many reports, such as the Illinois Public Library Annual Report (IPLAR), require that data be reported by fiscal year. Any such reports will be identified with the abbreviation FY. On the other hand, people like to compare numbers year over year. There are times when the reports we put together are simply for a calendar year. Unless otherwise identified, reports are by calendar year. Month versus Annual Report: All 2010 monthly reports will be uploaded. At this time only annual reports for some of the previous years will be uploaded. Going forward we may delete the monthly reports as the annual report becomes available, since the data reported in the monthly reports is aggregated into the annual report. |
