I practice Ashtanga Yoga so this is what I teach and I've had some very
good teachers so I'll teach you the way they taught me.

After ten years of software testing, I got into yoga in Birmingham at the age of 24, studying under the rather strict but impressively knowledgeable Dawn Blake. A couple of years later I changed my gym and had the good luck to meet then go on to study with Robin Aurora, a Birmingham yoga teaching legend. He was kind, wise and caring enough to organise a workshop by the unparalleled ashtanga genius David Williams.
David helped me to understand why ashtanga yoga is 'the best exercise'!
I have since spent 5 months training at the Ashtanga Yoga Research Institute with Sri K. Pattabhi Jois, Sharath Rangaswamy and Saraswati Rangaswami as well as studying around the world with a number of excellent teachers such as Tracey West, Hamish Hendry, Jorgen Christiansson, Louise Ellis, Paul Dallaghan,
and Melanie Cooper of Brahmani Yoga Goa.
In winter 2008 I completed the 500 Hour Ashtanga Teaching Certificate from the
Brahmani school of yoga, a Yoga Alliance accredited training provider.
In the summer of 2010 I enjoyed a 3 month introduction to the fundamentals of sorcery and the
sacred language of the shaman under the playful guidance of Sri Maha Kaliji Yogacharya.
This website is also dedicated to the memories of Guruji who passed away in 2009, and
Roger Matland who was taken from us by a freak diving accident in 2010.
Both great men were without equal who are sadly missed by many.
