College Text Books

This page contains instructions of how to save hundreds of $ buying and selling your college text books. I have personally seen savings of about $200 - $300 savings PER semester.

To Buy

First, you will need the book's ISBN number.  (What's an ISBN).  Most colleges publish the ISBN number for each course.  For example, Purdue's textbooks are here:  http://www.purdue.edu/registrar/Textbooks/Textbooks.html.   The ISBN number guarantees that you are getting the right book. After you have the ISBN numbers of the books you want to buy, click here: Amazon's Textbook Page (or on one of the links below).   You have the option of buying used or new, hard or soft cover.

To Sell

Selling is more difficult than buying. To sell, you will need to create an Amazon's sellers account, set a price, list your book, and then ship it to the buyer. Amazon will send the money right to your bank account (after taking out their fee). It is a great way to get rid of the books you no longer need. Don't sit on that unused book too long. The longer you wait, the more of a chance that new versions will come out and yours will be out-of-date and unsellable. Click here to begin: Amazon's Textbook Page.
