Claudio Alcides Jacoski obtained his doctorate in Production Engineering from the Federal University of Santa Catarina/UFSC in 2003.  He obtained his degree in Civil Engineering from the Federal University of Santa Catarina/UFSC in 1993.  He is currently a senior lecturer at the Regional Community University of Chapeco and Head of the Technology Centre.

Publications:

He has published 7 papers in specialized academic journals and 70 in conference proceedings. He has published one related research book. He has a technological product, one software program and another 10 technical production items.  He has attended conferences abroad.  He has supervised 12 research training projects and 20 degree dissertations in the areas of Civil Engineering, Architecture and Urbanism, and Sanitary Engineering.  He has received 2 awards and/or honors.  Between 2000 and 2006 he supervised 5 research projects.

Research Projects:

He currently coordinates 2 research projects associated in Reseach Group - GRUA (Computing applied to Engineering and Architecture Research Group): CinC – Construction Information Centre – which deals with the organization of an information centre to control performance in the construction sector; and Gvip – Virtual Project Management, a virtual environment for aiding teaching of the collaborative management of projects.  He works in the area of civil engineering, with a focus on information and communication technology in the construction sector. In the course of his professional activities he has interacted with 39 collaborators in co-authorship of scientific publications.  He has worked as a researcher of INFOHAB – Centre of Reference and Information of Habitat, a project managed by ANTAC – National Association of Built Environment technology, and he participated in the strengthening of the event TIC – Information Technology in the Construction sector, held biennially in brazil.

In his curriculum vitae the most frequent terms in the context of the scientific, technological and artistic-cultural production are: structural engineering, civil construction industry, information technology and systems, project planning and management, reinforced concrete, engineering teaching and the Internet.
