Google Forms
Sometimes you want individual students to respond to a specific question(s). Use a Google Form for this type of activity. Go to the Homophone example. Take the quiz. The Homophone Google Form is in the Cybernauts English folder. Choose Form > Edit on the spreadsheet to see and edit the form. Choose See Responses > Spreadsheet to see the individual responds.
  • Create your own Google Form. Go to Google Docs and choose Create New > Form. Enter a title and directions. Enter the first question. Choose Add item for additional questions. Choose a theme and apply it. Choose More Actions > Embed. Copy the code. Edit your Google Site page and choose HTML. Paste the code.
    • Quiz. Create a quiz. Make it available as a web link during class. Remove the link at the conclusion of the class period.
    • Homework. Use the form feature for short assignments. The spreadsheet format makes grading easy. Remember, you can provide additional information such as an online reading, image, video, or other resources on your Google Site, then embed the questions.
    • Communication. Use the form feature for classroom communications such as class brainstorming, voting, project status, topic selection, summaries, or as a way to share progress.
