Dara smiled as she saw her best friend Pilla walk in her wedding gown to Wren. All was going well, but turned for the worse. The birds hovering above attacked. The wedding was trashed and almost all were killed. Though the wedding was not the only place being attacked, Dara’s whole country was being attacked. Luckily Dara was able to get away from the birds and into a bush. She kept herself isolated from sight, and made her way to a swamp. She pulled out her Bauble Tyler and gave her orders. “You are trustworthy Tyler, go and find an army and come back as soon as possible. We need assistance.” Dara said. Then Dara put Tyler down and scratched her head. “Go Tyler” Dara emphasized. “I will make my own militia for now.” Dara added. Tyler turned away and began walking in the opposite direction. Dara walked to the nearest tree in the swamp. She laid down and waited. Soon other Shamra appeared. Among them were Heber and Lothar. Dara began to drench them in questions. “Are there any other survivors? What happened? How did you get away?” Heber responded first. “Everyone was enslaved, and all Shamra at the wedding were killed.” After her questions were answered Dara stood up and talked to them. She wanted them to become an army. Everyone agreed and she was their leader since she began the army. Over time more Shamra fled to the swamps. Dara launched multiple attacks and they found out many things. The dark colored birds were called Shrieks and they had controllers called the Trocs. After a few weeks Dara received messages from Tyler. Tyler had found an army and they were going to help Dara regain her country. The creatures in the army were called Larks. They would only help Dara get rid of the Shrieks, but they would not help them get rid of the Trocs. Messages were continuously passed and they had formed a plan and an agreement. The army Tyler had found preyed on the Shrieks and their agreement was that they would have the Shrieks after they were killed to eat. Their plan was to help the army kill the Shrieks and be prepared to confront the Trocs. In 3 days the Larks would come and eliminate the Shrieks. Those were the longest days of her life. When they finally arrived the battle was pretty short. The Shrieks were killed quickly and the Trocs were defenseless standing in front of the holy temple. The larks fled with the Shrieks and Dara went to the Trocs with her army. When Dara came in front of the Trocs at the holy temple they all had knives. Before Dara could attack the Trocs, they committed suicide. Dara’s army set the slaves free and they celebrated with a party. At some point of the party Dara went inside of the holy temple. She prayed to the prophets Pilla and Wren. She said “Let me rest eternally with the prophets Wren and Pilla” Then Dara stabbed herself in the heart.

When Dara arrived in the Shamra village everyone was surprised. Dara was asking if everything was okay. Someone was about to respond when suddenly there was a high-pitched scream. It sounded like a bird. It had a long mouth full of teeth. Everyone heard a weird chuckle. The Shamra noticed a creature on top of the bird, with other birds around it. “Hello people! I am Garz, leader of the Trocs and these birds are called Shrieks. They listen only to the Trocs and will attack when I say. I have been searching for a new country to hail from and I have chosen this. Now I will attack!” Garz said. Then one shriek came in to attack and bite someone’s head off. Fortunately a Shamra was able to come close enough to throw his sword at one of the shriek’s wings. The shriek fell to the ground but was still alive. The Shamra kept fighting the shrieks unaware of the other shriek on the floor. The shrieks were more powerful. A group of Shamra came but it was too late. The shriek got up and clawed at all nearby Shamra with its talons. The shrieks and Garz were gone. The Shamra had been attacked and fatally wounded. The Shamra country luckiness of not being attacked had stopped.

So Dara was happy with her best friend Pilla since she was getting married to Wren. Then the wedding was attacked by one of the humungous birds called “Shrieks”. They were so scared and they screamed. The shriek swooped down. Dara and Pilla pelted it with pebbles from a slingshot and it stopped on the ground laid down on its stomach. “What do we do?” Pilla said. “Go to the Mitchkeys and see what they can do with it.” Dara said. So Dara and Pilla went to the Mitchkey land. They told the Mitchkeys to eat the shrieks. “Mitchkeys come and eat these shrieks we found, we know they are one of your preys.” Dara said. When they got there the shriek was up again. Now Dara and Pilla did not know what to do. Five Mitchkeys jumped on the back of the shriek and scratched it with their claws. One flew to the face of the shriek and pecked it multiple times in the eye. The shriek fell down but was still alive and the Mitchkeys started to eat it. The shriek was now moving all over the place while making a weird noise. Dara had Tyler with her and showed Pilla Tyler. Soon the shriek stopped moving and it finally died.
~Nelson "Ahh!"As the shamra's run the "shrieks" and "trocs" attack. Then the "shrieks" finally caught them. The "shrieks" and "trocs" were in charge. Then Dara, Pilla and a group of shamra's began to fight back. Dara and Pilla yelled "Attack!!" as some of the shamra's attacked, Dara and Pilla freed the other shamra's. After they freed all the shamra's they allfought until the shrieks and trocs were dead. Dara and Pilla wonderd what they were going to do because their village was destroyed. So they decided to walk away to find another land in victory.

Once the shrieks attacked it seemed as if Dara was dead. When she awoke Pilla was in front of her ready to fight. Then Dara and Pilla were ready to battle and they had reinforcements. They fought and fought until it was five on Dara’s side and five on the enemy’s. Dara told Pilla to slingshot all five. Unfortunatly Dara only got one enemy. Then they all Charged at each other. Suddnely they went BOOM!!!!! All of the people were on the floor and Dara and Pilla were the only ones alive. -Frankie
The shrieks attacked. Pilla was worried. “We might lose.” said Pilla. “We have nothing.” Pilla found some supplies. Pilla said “This is enogh to destroy them ok. All we need is a plan and we can destroy all of the shrieks.” Pilla was thinking of a plan. She thought since they fly we should throw rocks at them. Pilla was thinking about it. “We might have to trap them.” Said Pilla. Pilla had everything planed. She was ready. Pilla waited and waited. They finally came. People were dieing and Pilla was in charge. Dara went to the swamp where she would be safe. Then she noticed that she was the only one left and she was very scared. Pilla defeated all the shrieks without Dara. Their friendship was never the same. -Joseph
