| Congratulations to the Shen Dance Team! On May 14th, the Shen Dance Team, accompanied by Coach Preston, traveled to NYC to participate in a U.S. Championship Competition, returning to the Shen community with national titles in three dance categories. The team placed 1st in Large Varsity Pom, 3rd in Varsity Kick Line, and 4th in Team Dance, which includes elements of pom, jazz, hip hop, and kick. Shen High School West
students clenched the NYSAHA 2008 -Tier I, U16- New York State Championship
Title. The girls are : Veronica Gallego, Hunter Davis and Leigh Getz. The
girls belong to the "Ice Cats" which is a Capital District Tier I-U16
Ice Hockey Team. Best Wishes as they compete in "Nationals" during the
firstweek of April. ATTENTION
PARENTS of JUNIORS: Beginning this Friday, March 14th Juniors who
meet the criteria are invited to apply for membership in National Honor
Society. The information and application are on line at the
NHS website. Invitations will be
delivered to homerooms Friday, March 14, 2008. Completed applications must be
printed out and handed in to either Mrs. Strait or Mrs. Lynch in the North
Faculty Workroom. Because no applications will be accepted after 2:50 PM on
Friday, April 4, 2008, be sure your child begins the application process (that
includes obtaining several required signatures) early. Any questions or
