UNIT 4: Scale Factor and Measurement
We are nearing the end of this unit. The test will be Tuesday, January 31. It covers metric measurement, customary measurement, and similar figures/scale drawings. We have already had a quiz over the first two topics and will have a quiz on Friday 1/27 over similar figures/scale drawings. These quizzes are excellent study tools for the upcoming test. The test topics are covered in chapter 9, lessons 1 and 2; chapter 6, lessons 6 and 7; chapter 8, lesson 6; and chapter 7, lesson 5. There will be review session the day of the test at 7:30 am in my room. HELP SESSIONS
Additional help will be provided each Wednesday morning at 7:30AM in my room (14). I will go over the most recent test or quiz and answer individual questions for the group of students who attend. Students may bring any questions they have about past or current assignments.
Unit 3 focuses on proportional reasoning. Topics include ratios, unit rates and prices, proportions, graphing proporitonal relationships,
expressions, and equations. |
 I love teaching middle school and especially enjoy math. This is my sixteenth year teaching at Haynes Bridge.
I hold a bachelor's degree from University of Georgia and a master's from Georgia State University.
I live in Johns Creek with my husband and my miniature dachshund. I have one grown daughter who is also a math teacher! |
