There's something about mahogany and spruce that makes a lively zingy dulcimer. This is the 2nd mahogany/spruce dulcimer (#5 was the first), and immediately the sound jumped out at me. I took extra steps on this dulcimer, filling the pores on the fretboard with Crystalac and inlaying abalone fret dots, then oiling the fretboard with a mixture of Tru-oil and Minwax Antique oil until it is slick and smooth. The rest of this dulcimer was finished with Tru-oil. This dulcimer was sold to a Woodcraft store manager who also plays the guitar. Name: #12 Birthday: March 22, 2010
