At a glance you will notice that our dogs, and Flat Coats in general, enjoy being
with people and are raised as part of the family. Our dogs live in the house with us,
and are always owner handled, trained, and shown. This close bond between
human and dog has led us to many successful ventures in the show ring, field
and hunt tests, as well as achievement in obedience competitions, agility trials,
and tracking tests.
However, we value our dogs mostly for what they bring into our lives
on a daily basis: unconditional love, humor, harmony with nature, and friendship.
The move from Flat Coat owner/exhibitor to breeder of these wonderful dogs
came with our first litter in 1988. We now breed an occasional litter, with the
one being co-bred with Kathleen Stevens. As members of the
Flat Coated Retriever Society of America, we abide by their guidelines and rules.
