Our museum complex is closed for the season. We will see you in May. Look for our next newsletter in the spring. Here's a copy of most recent newsletter.

Founded in 1970, to save Clare County's first school building, our Society's mission is to preserve, advance, and disseminate knowledge of the history of Clare County and surrounding area.

The present day hamlet of Dover once known as Crawfordville, is now the home of the Clare County Historical Society and museum complex that consists of three buildings: A museum, the historic Dover School and the restored Ott log cabin.

We are located at 7050 Eberhart Rd. at the corner of Dover Rd. north of Clare. We are open Saturdays, 1-5 p.m. May through October. Admission is FREE (but donations are welcomed)!

CCHS are now on Facebook. Click to "like" us.
