What is Alter Aeon you ask?

 

Alter Aeon is a completely free text based on-line game. It's easy to learn, easy to play and extremely addictive. You'll be fighting making friends, leveling, fighting dragons and literally thousands upon thousands of other creatures in no time. Best of all, new content is being added constantly, and you don't have to worry about buying an expansion pack, because it's all free!

 

During the most active times of day, over fifty adventurers can be found exploring the mud. Alter Aeon is also has many features added to make it one of the most blind friendly Muds available. Around one third of the current playerbase consists of players that are vision impaired or completely blind.

 

The four classes currently available are Mage, Warrior, Thief and Cleric. You can level all four classes in whatever combination suits your style to customize your characters abilities to your liking. You are allowed to create as many characters as you would like, but you are only allowed to have one character logged in at a time with a few exceptions.

 

The possibilities are endless. Rumor has it that two new classes will be added to the game by the end of 2009 or shortly thereafter.

There are currently 35542 rooms in the world, and a total of 228 distinct zones.
There are currently 40078 objects in existence.
There are currently 19902 creatures wandering the world.

 

In the end, Alter Aeon is an exiting, fast paced text based game that has been around since 1995.
