Clan Guidelines

All clans must have guidelines and rules to keep them running effectively. Clan Resistance is no different.

1. Respect all clan members and Elders.

We do not need conflicts within the clan. If you do not like a clan member, and you cannot get along with them please ignore them. We do not need to have quarrels publicly over the clan channel or public channels, especially the latter. If the argument is about the clan itself, please bring it to a clan Elder, otherwise dispute it among yourselves.

2. New Member requirements

There is a very low level requirement of 50 total levels. This is much lower than other clans will generally allow as we want everyone who wishes to join a clan to be able to reap the benefits of doing so.

You also need to have been an active player of Alter Aeon for three months.

3. Clan New Member Voting

New Members who wish to join the clan will be voted upon. Current members and Elders are allowed to vote. A positive vote from a member or Elder counts as one point and a negative vote counts as -1. To start with the score is 0. As long as the member remains positive in the votes, it is likely that they will be approved for membership.

4. Clan New Member Quests

New members of the clan will be required to complete a quest that is level appropriate for their current level. This is a tradition that started with the original Clan Resistance, and I plan to keep to their traditions to the best that I remember them. If they do not pass, they may be given a second quest to attempt to complete. This is to help them get more accustomed to the game as well as prove their skills.

5. Clan Board

The clan board itself in the Clan Area is for clan discussion only. Most idle chatter should go in the online forum, so free free to register.

6. Clan Forum

All members who are not blind should be registered on the clan forums. The forum is an excellent means of communication outside of the mud itself. It is not a requirement, but I believe that you will find the forum quite useful.

7. Inactivity

Any member whom is inactive for more than three months will be removed. If after removal they once again become active on the mud for the period of one month, it is possible that they could be reinstanted as a member of the clan.

8. Dues

Clan members are expected to pay dues as they can, however it is not required. Clans do require gold to keep running, so give what you can. We understand that it is more difficult for lower level players to obtain gold and take that into consideration. Donate at your discretion, it will only be used for the dues.

9. Clan Area

Elders are able to have their own clan rooms in the area. We simply do not have enough room space for every member to have their own room. If the elder does not want their room disturbed, please do not bother it out of respect.

10. Becoming an Elder.

If you are interested in becoming an elder please contact Tyro. He will discuss the matter with the other elders. If you do not hear anything back about the matter, it is likely that you did not pass. The most likely reasons are that you are too new to the game, have not been active enough or there are simply too many elders already.
