Clan Resistance was originally formed around 1999 or 2000. It was an extremely popular clan well known to all. However, due to the lack of dues and members slowly abandoning the clan it was forced to close around 2003.

 

We are taking the initiative to reopen the clan to the public and hopefully restore it to its former glory.

 

The reason of the creation of Resistance is not well known and has been lost in the years that have passed. All archives in regards to the clan have been lost. All that remains is locked inside the memory of the members of the former clan before its recreation.

 

One theory that currently stands is that they wished to resist the tyranny of the other opposing clans and simply have one that serves the members and the mud as a whole. A clan that is open to all, not just the elite high level players but beginners and intermediate mudders as well. This creates a sense of community within the game which is lucrative to higher levels, yet offers low and mid level players a sense of community.

 

These were the days that the clans Kindred and Dragon ruled the mud when it came down to the great clan powers. There were a few other successful clans, however Resistance is one of the few that grew almost to to the point of being legendary. Time does take its toll, and the clan was mostly forgotten.

 

We are planning to revive the clan to the best of our ability, however Rome was not built in a day. It will likely take quite a while to do so, but we will not give up easily.
