ROTARACT - EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW
What is it?
Rotaract is a worldwide youth network for 18-30's. Rotary International founded Rotaract in 1968 to encourage young people to take part in their community.
What do they do?
Rotaractors get involved in the community any way they can. This includes social events, charity events and fundraising, personal and professional development. The types of tasks carried out can be volunteer work, organising events or participating in events. What is the connection with Rotary?
A Rotary club sponsors each Rotaract club. Rotary members are generally not directly involved in running the club, but offer very valuable support and mentorship. We will occasionally have joint meetings and events with Rotary clubs.
What do I have to do to join?
After you have attended three meetings, one social event and one community event, the club can invite you to become a member.

How does it all fit together?
Rotaract, like Rotary, is organised into districts. There are three districts in the Sydney metropolitan area. Our district is 9750 and stretches from the city to Kiama and Picton.
How many Rotaract clubs are there?
There are clubs throughout the world and some 15 clubs in Sydney. There are eight clubs in district 9750 making us the biggest Rotaract District in Australia: Como Jannali, Sydney City, Campbelltown, University of Wollongong, University of NSW, Eastern Suburbs, University of Sydney and Illawarra.
