Setting Up Remote Access on the Mac
 

Step 1. Create an Account.

Step 2. Set up Sharing. 

Step 3. Check your Address

Step 4. Check your Security

Step 5. Set up your Firewall

In order to be able to help you remotely, I'm going to need to be able to log into your computer over the internet.

The first step is to run the Accounts application from the System Preferences. The movie will show you what to do. In case the video is unclear, here's the information you'll need to enter:

  • New Account: Standard
  • Name: Bub
  • Short Name: bub
  • Password: (My middle name, starting with a capital and ending with "45" - example: Frank45)

As you see in the video, I use the picture of the boxer dog as my icon...
