About the documentary
“One Big Orange CommUniTy” is a documentary that shows how students from different backgrounds come together to form one big community at the University of Tennessee.
One of the things that you will notice when viewing this film is the different thoughts and feelings that several students have about the UT community. The students in my documentary talk about what they feel the word citizen/citizenship means to them. They also talk about how they feel about UT being a community along with some of the things that they have done and experienced since being students at the University of Tennessee.
About the creator, Ebony Brownlee
Similar to the people that I interviewed in my documentary, I also am not from Knoxville, so coming to this city and trying to fit in as a citizen was an adjustment. Since I have been here I have chosen to get involved with many different organizations, including Clinic Vols, First Year Studies-Peer Mentors, and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Tennessee Valley just to name few. My involvement in these organizations has helped to shape me into the citizen that I am today.
