About this documentary
While a car is clearly not a necessity, it increasingly seems that way.
Anyone
unable to own a car is severely limited by their lack of mobility, and
thus they are less able to communicate and contribute to their community.
Not only is finding a job made more difficult, but so are every day things we take for granted, like getting around. While a bicycle provides some alternative, and buses, subways, and taxis do, too, in our increasingly spread out society, having a car is a necessity. This
documentary examines how transportation affects our ability
to move around, to communicate, to earn a living and to participate in society.
