SECURITY - Upon LEAVING the facility the GATE and CHAIN must be LOCKED.
The AMA SAFETY CODE must be observed at all times.
Rules 1. To fly at our field, you MUST be an AMA member. 2. No running of engines and no flying before 9 A.M. of any day. Electric powered airplanes are specifically exempt from the 9 A.M. rule. 3. Flying over the Picnic, Pit Area, or Buffer Zone is prohibited. 4. You should not fly over any person on the field, on the runways, or on farm-planted areas. 5. Frequency control pins must be used at all times when your transmitter is to be turned on. It is the responsibility of the person who removed the pin from the field to notify the club members of the location of the pin. On the frequency pin board, a substitute pin shall be inserted in the missing pin’s location until the original is returned. Frequency control pins are not to be retained for longer than 20 minutes unless the plane is in the air. 6. If it is necessary to walk onto the runway (e.g., to retrieve an airplane), someone should assist you in watching for other active aircraft, either on the field or in the air. 7. At least two tables will be provided on the North-South Pit Area for pilots who are unable to start or run engines on the ground because of physical problems. 8. After taking off from either runway, the aircrafts first turn must be AWAY from the Pit Area. 9. Members of the Club may invite a guest flyer, but not more than twice each year. Guests must be AMA members and must abide by all the Club’s rules. 10. Members and guests are responsible for the good conduct of their children and pets. 11. Running of engines for the purpose of breaking in an engine or for non-flying purposes shall be done in the designated area behind the hanger and not in the Picnic Area. |
