Assoc.Prof.Dr. Çiğdem Gencel Ambrosini is a scientist and lecturer in software engineering . She received her PhD from the Informatics Institute of the Middle East Technical University in 2005 in Turkey.  Her research has been dedicated to providing novel solutions to real industrial challenges. In particular, she has been involved in empirical research studies in academy-industry collaboration contexts. Her research topics include software size and project effort estimating, software measurement process, empirical software engineering, software project management, and software quality. She is an author of more than seventy publications. She has been teaching software engineering and information systems related courses at the BSc and MSc programs and has supervised more than thirty graduate thesis studies.
