The Infection
Five ordinary people must pay the price of survival at the end of the world.
A mysterious virus suddenly strikes down millions. Three days later, its victims awake with a single purpose: spread the Infection. Todd, a high school student who sees second chances in the end of the world. Paul, a minister who wonders why God has forsaken his children. And Anne, their mysterious leader, who holds an almost fanatical hatred for the Infected. Together, they fight their way to a massive refugee camp where thousands have made a stand. There, what's left of the government will ask them to accept a mission that will determine the survival of them all--a dangerous journey back onto the open road and into the very heart of Infection. Infection Bad shot from cell phone...The day after I put Oz to sleep, I was trying to take my mother-in-law's cat to the vet. She bit me really hard and I never got her to the vet. I went to the doctor, but that night, I had a fever of 101 and quaking chills. The doctor sent me to the ER the next day and I didn't come home until Friday afternoon. They outlined the infection so they could watch it....I am on antibiotics for a month and my hip replacement surgery has been postponed indefinitely. I am not a happy camper. The cat is still in my basement (it's a very nice basement). Not so sure about the cat.... :-) Day 93: Infection
infections can occur anywhere. they can be a metaphor or quite literal. the worst is when you have both a metaphor and a literal living side by side in one person. and the person is you. If this is the end of the world, what do you do? Do you have the will to survive? And in surviving, what or who are you willing to sacrifice? With their city overrun by a plague of Biblical proportions and the dead rising with a preternatural and cannabilistic hunger for human flesh, a group of survivors is forced into answering those questions for themselves. In the sheer act of survival, our heroes are pushed to the brink and expose the rawest essence of human nature and how it affects their relationships with one another and themselves.
