Essilor Lunelle ES70 Solaire - Lens on finger
The "Essilor Lunelle ES70 Solaire" is used to "correct" achromatopsia. A phenomenon that occurs at one person of 30000. Those persons show a complete absence of cone cells and do have rod cells only. The rod cells are much more sensitive to light, but are not able to perceive colours. That is why people with achromatopsia are colour blind, but need a reduction of the level of normal day-light, becaus of the high sensitiveness for light of the rod cells.
