I tore my contact lens at the office today. i have a very strong prescription, so it's super irritating to stare at the computer with 2 different eye-strengths. So i made myself an eye patch out of tape and these leftover golden elastic strings. After awhile, my boss Josh said "you dork, I have a real eye patch, get rid of that tape thing." It was leftover from the costume he made to announce a casino-royale themed sales contest. While I was quite pleased with my tape eye-patch, I went with the official upgrade and I kept working hapily. After awhile, my co-worker Brian was like, "Hey, I got something for you!" he tossed over this skull and cross-bones bandana. Lori helped me tie it around my head. Then he tossed over a stuffed parrot., which I rigged up on my shoulder with another one of those elastic bands. He explained that the sales development team had dressed up as pirates for Halloween 2006. Shortly thereafter, Pablo gave me one of his plastic swords, and the transformation was complete, Nora took my picture, and the pirate jokes abounded. Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr, I love that me officemates could transform me from a seriously bum optometrical situation into a super-duper fun office pirate.... Thank you excellent corporate culture and cheaply manufacured novelty goods! You made my day.

I only had one matchbox which is a bit risque. It had a piece of red paper inside which makes the model look like she is wearing a red bathing suit, but when you open the box, she looks nude. I removed the tiny piece of red paper so I could fill 'er up. It measures 1 5/8 inches across, 2 inches long, and 1/2 inch deep.
