A teenager, puzzled about love, will encounter it on a sailing outing in the South of France, that will turn her life upside down.
From the rocky coves of the small island of Porquerolles in her teenage years, the glamour of the Cannes Film Festival in the 60's to a cafe in Paris in the 80's as a middle aged woman, Christine doesn't really know if she is looking for love, or if love is looking for her.
At the terrace of a small outdoor cafe, she discusses Marguerite Duras with an unknown woman, and enters into a whirlwind of anxiety and desire only mitigated by good food and the magic of the city. Has Christine learned anything about love in her travels?
In Venice Beach, California, now mature, she becomes smitten with a woman 30 years her junior. As she tries to give Bethany some comfort, she will let herself descend once again into the mysteries of infatuation. Will she be able to follow the advice of her teenage years, finally be able to enjoy the good life, and recover her peace of mind?

To use the word beautiful seems like an understatement. This is a wonderful story that took me away from my rainy Chicago and onto an island where a fourteen year-old girl was going to have the experience of her lifetime.
You have a fourteen year old girl down pat. It is delicious to see your Christina ‘s reaction to Francesca arriving. Your description dealt with a deft hand had me on the island very quickly. I though about “Prince of Tides” and pondered whether it had been that easy for me to get the feel of their island? Back to your story. I loved it. I admire your talent for bringing on the change slowly in Christina. It was an oil painting and with each layer came a story within the story. Very Nice.
Kind Regards, Alexie Aaron

"I've read the whole novel the other night... I love it. I prefer the second part, Moderato. English is not my native language, so, sometimes it's not easy to express my thoughts the way I would do so in my own language, but - your novel really touched my soul, and I will remember it always... Thank you for this special 'Travel'!
I put a link on my YT channel, I hope you don't mind (user: jesienna83 )
All the best!"
