Suhrita Sen is an amazing singer who recorded her first album at the age of 20. She recorded three albums and was an eminent artist at All India Radio, with endless promise. Unfortunately, balancing the challenges of married life and raising children took its toll - Suhrita ended pursuing music as a career, before it barely started.
Churni Bhattacharya is Suhrita's first daughter, and started learning music from her mother before she could talk. Suhrita's enduring passion for music inspired Churni to study Indian music along with her scholastic education. Music has remained her main passion, although she chose not to pursue music as her career.
This album is Churni's homage to her mother - and an effort of restoration of Suhrita's songs from old records.
