Hilo Coast United Church of Christ28-1630 Old Mamalahoa Highway Directions from Waimea: Follow State Highway 19 in the direction of Hilo. Pass the 14-mile marker. Turn right on State Highway 220 (the Honomu and Akaka Falls turn-off), and drive mauka to where it joins Old Mamalahoa Highway at downtown Honomu. Turn left and drive on through downtown Honomu. Pass the Hongwanji, the Community Center and the Catholic Church. Just after the Community Center and before the street bends right to turn down into the gulch, you'll see and pass by our light blue church buildings on your left side. Where the road bends sharply right, our driveway is on your left, under the monkeypod tree, after you pass our church buildings.
