Daniel Cohen

 

Mr. Cohen has been teaching math at CVHS for 6 years in addition to 3 years as an instructional assistant.  He had a brief stint at Mar Vista High teaching AP Calculus AB and geometry.  He has taught algebra, geometry, intermediate algebra, math analysis, and AP calculus AB.  Currently he teaches AP Caluclus AB, geometry, and math analysis.

          Mr. Cohen is a three time graduate of UCSD (B.A.,M.Ed., M.A.) and is poised to earn his doctorate(Ed. D.) this June.  His research interests include post-secondary outcomes for Chicano high school graduates, social capital theory, and high school mathematical experiences. 

          Mr. Cohen is committed to student success and he welcomes parent and student communication to that end.
