Where I harvest my sticks.....Guelph, where it joins the Speed River then the Grand River. This is part of the Boreal or northern forest named after the North Wind. The Eramosa also flows through areas covered with several hundred glacial potholes near Rockwood, one of the largest being the Devil's Well. It truly is an enchanted place.

Magic Wands

A Magic Wand is a thin, hand-held stick of wood ivory or metal Generally, in modern language, wands are ceremonial and/or have associations with magic. Simply put a stick or staff used to perform magic.

For the purveyors of Magic, this is an elegant addition to any repertoire

Talking Sticks

The Talking Stick has been used for centuries by many American Native cultures as a means of a just and impartial hearing. The talking stick was commonly used in council circles to designate who had the right to speak. The leading speaker would hold the talking stick and begin the discussion. When he finished what he had to say he would hold out the talking stick, and whoever wished to speak would take it. In this manner the stick was passed from one individual to another until all who wished to speak had done so.

A perfect gift for the boardroom or the dining room table

Walking Sticks and Canes

Walking Sticks and Canes Walking sticks are used by hikers for a wide variety of purposes: to clear spider webs, part thick bushes or grass obscuring the trail; as a support when going uphill or a brake when going downhill; as a balance point when crossing streams, swamps or other rough terrain; to feel for obstacles in the path; to test puddles for depth; and as a defence against animals.
