Mr. McClain

The internet web development academy is made up of two curriculums. Both can be delivered independent of each other. It is advised that incoming Juniors sign up for the CIW AM block first. It provides the opportunity for juniors to refine and further develop thier current technical skills. A complete course description, course syllabus and list of CSO's are provided as a link. The second course, "Oracle" immerses the student into data modeling, SQL and PLSQL. A more mature student will find this course challenging and a perfect primer for continued studies in computer science at a Post Secondary Level.

Mr. McClain has been at James Rumsey since 1999, as the director of the Regional Printing Institute and Oracle Instructor. In 2006, he moved to full-time teacher, part-time director when he introduced the CIW curriuclum. He currently holds teaching/instructor certifications from the state of WV, Oracle Inc. and CIW. In addition he is lead Technical Integration Specialist for the school, helping other instructors integrate technology and 21st century learning skills into their classrooms.
