The Third Galaxy is a world in a parallel universe. Much like our own, far happier one, this poor world suffered much during the Terrible Times. What is recorded here are gleanings from the Absolute Truth, 21st Edition (to which I have access, including the 2nd and 3rd level footnotes). The reader may well find that the events, characters, places and times resemble those of our more fortunate world - in fact, they may even seem the same! Since the Third Galaxy is parallel, this is to be expected. However, and this can hardly be stressed enough, any resemblance to persons living, dead or fictional, is coincidental an d in no way should be construed to be satirical or, the Great Potato forbid,lampoon. The sole purpose of making these records available to the public is that we may avoid a Terrible Time in our own, most perfect of all possible worlds. Should we fall so low, I doubt that we can count on a reprieve such as befell the Third Galaxy when, but a few moments before the final midnight ushered in destruction and the horror of an eternal, restless night, their tortured skies were filled with the strange ships of the Alien Veggies who cleansed their poor planet of all sin and pollution, ushering in a time of Joy, Peace and Green Fields Forever. What I'm saying, dear hearts, is that, if we screw the pooch on this one, there ain't nothing gonna come clean up the poop and kiss our bloodied thumb.
