| To manually install Google Chrome themes, you must locate the theme directory. Windows XP: %WinRoot%\Documents and Settings\%User%\Local Settings\Application Data\Google\Chrome\Application\%Version%\Themes\ Windows Vista: %WinRoot%\Users\%User%\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\Application\%Version%\Themes\ Where %WinRoot% is the hard drive you've installed Windows on, %User% is your local username, and %Version% is the version of Google Chrome you have installed. Once you've located your theme directory, you will find a file named default.dll. Immediately make a backup of this file. To install a new theme, replace the original default.dll with the file of the same name from the custom theme. |
