家族と友人に薦められ、2006年のNouvelle Starのオーディションを受ける決意をする。 Des'reeによるStrong Enoughを歌い、ジャッジを驚かせた。(そのジャッジは、イケていない風貌に見える男性から、そのような上質な声を予想していなかった。 ジャッジの一人であるマリアン・ジェームズによって、「カメ」と言う愛称で呼ばれて、人気が出る。6月8日に、Nouvelle Star４の優勝者として、選ばれた。
