Family News:
Ava Marie arrived on May 12 at 9:06AM weighing 7 lbs. 4 oz. and 19 1/4 in. long. She's a very easy-going little girl. It has been a joy getting to know her and watching her grow. She's an expert crawler and likes tossing her Roll-A-Round toys and chasing after them. She surprised mommy the other day by pulling herself to standing in her crib. She's eager to do what her big sister can do and will be walking before we know it!
Madeline did a great job at her dance recital in June. She took a gymnastics class this summer. She's hoping Santa will sign her up for a soccer class next. Madeline is in 4 year-old preschool at St. Paul. She gets to drive to school with Mommy on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays and stays all day. She loves school and is beginning to put her letters and sounds together. She also likes helping mommy care for Ava. She gives Ava kisses and fetches things for mommy when necessary. She's a great big sister!
Christina finished her masters degree at the end of July. She isn't sure how she took three classes and had a newborn at the same time. The real fun has been applying what she learned in her 3rd grade class. To see what's going on in her classroom, click on the "Christina's Class Website" link at the bottom of this page. She has a Smart Board in her room which is an awesome tool to enhance her teaching and helps prepare students for a technology-driven world.
Todd is no longer employed at Coleman Wolf. The rotten economy here in Michigan caught up with him two days after last year's Christmas cards were mailed. He's looking at his options and is polishing up his resume again. He has completed the process to become a United States Customs Officer and has been waiting more than six months to be assigned his training date. He's currently a stay-at-home dad and is doing a terrific job raising his two beautiful daughters. He is on the Pastor/Parish Relations board at our church and has been teaching Confirmation classes.
Gatsby celebrated his 6th birthday last April. His days are busy with finding good hiding spots when Ava is crying, barking for no apparent reason, sleeping for a minimum of 12 hours a day, and scratching at his food or water bowl as if to spontaneously bring forth sustenance.
