At Christ Church we take seriously our responsibilities for teaching and learning, and helping everybody to grow in faith.

Here are some of the current opportunities at Christ Church:

HOUSE GROUPS: we currently have a network of five house groups meeting regularly in different locations around the community, and at different times of the day and week. These groups are a fantastic way to get to know other people and journey deeper. Please ask at the church office or email us for details.

The Revd Helen Bailey takes a lead role in oversight of the House Groups.

BREAKFAST WITH THE BIBLE - back on 22 April
Sundays, 8.45 - 9.20 am
This is in depth Bible study, with decent coffee and tea, croissants and rolls, in the Lounge in the Parish Centre. A real opportunity for going deeper with the Scriptures. See Nicholas Henshall if you want to know more, or simply come along! This has been one of the run away "hits" of Lent 2012.

Following Geoff Turner's exhilarating exploration of Galatians (notes at the bottom of this page), for the rest of May we will be looking at the Sunday Gospels, focusing on the Ascension, Pentecost and Trinity.

WEEKLY STUDY MATERIAL

Every week you can find study material on the Sunday Gospel reading in the back pages of the Sunday Service booklet. You can download the whole booklet each week at the bottom of the Services page.

On the Sermons page, you can follow the links to Sunday sermons, and a wide range of other material.

REFLECTIONS – AN OPPORTUNITY TO LEARN AND GROW: The Reflections Group meets monthly in the Lounge in the Parish Centre to reflect together on the readings from the previous Sunday. Each meeting starts with refreshments at 7.45pm ready for an 8pm start. The next meetings of the Reflections Group are:
-          Thursday,  24 May
-          Thursday, 14 June.

Everyone is very welcome. The Reflections Group is led by Helen Bailey – please ask if you have any questions or want to know more.

JOURNEY IN FAITH – Journey in Faith groups are open to everyone seeking to explore the Christian faith, and are open to all. We normally we run a group for adults and a group for young people. The groups are also the way in which we formally prepare candidates for confirmation (or baptism and confirmation) in the coming year. So if this is you, then come along and find out more. Both the adult and junior groups meet at 11.30 am on Sundays. Meetings in the coming months:
