Pray without ceasing... (1 Thessalonians 5.17)
Daily Prayer is at the heart of everything we do at Christ Church. The building is normally open 7.30 am - 6 pm Sunday to Friday. It is a great place to find space and silence. Please always feel free to come in, light a candle, write a prayer, or simply sit in the silence of the church. If would like us to pray for a particular person or situation, please let us know contact us and we will do this at the Wednesday morning Prayer Group at 9.30 pm, where each week a small group gathers to light candles and pray in silence. Morning Prayer is normally celebrated in the Lady Chapel at 7.30 am Monday to Friday (9.30 am on Bank Holidays). Evening Prayer is normally celebrated in the Lady Chapel at 5.30 pm every day. Both of these are simple offerings of prayer and praise, with psalm, Bible readings and biblical canticles. Each time of prayer also contains a sustained period of silence.
