 Worship is at the heart of everything we do here at Christ Church, on Sundays and through the week.
Some of our services are great celebrations with many hundreds of people. Others are more intimate occasions.
Visitors are always welcome to join us - our worship is a great way to learn about the life of the Christian community.

The church building is normally open each day from 8.30 am for personal prayer and silence.
Please come in, light a candle, say a prayer and simply enjoy the tranquillity of this special place.
Worship on Sundays:
 8.00 am Holy Communion is a quiet celebration with a congregation of 20 - 30 people. There are readings and time for reflection, and a short address by the priest leading the service. Normally the 8 am service lasts between 35 and 40 minutes.
10.00 am THE PARISH EUCHARISTis the main weekly service at Christ Church, with a regular congregation of 200 - 300 people, including a large number of children. It is a lively celebration with a mix of music and an atmosphere best described as 'formal informality'. The form of the service is in the mainstream of the Church of England, but with a real openness in which people of all ages and backgrounds feel at home. On the first Sunday of each month the music is led by an instrumental group and the children of the community take a special role. The Parish Eucharist lasts between an hour and an hour and a quarter. It is followed by opportunities for fellowship and learning in the Parish Centre.
JUNIOR CHURCH for children of 4 upwards meets on all Sundays in term time, except the first Sunday of the month.
4.00 pm Evening Prayer is a very gentle 30 minutes of reflective prayer and silence.
Wednesdays at 10 am: a simple celebration of Holy Communion followed by refreshments
Quietness and Stillness: new to Christ Church in 2009, an opportunity to enjoy God's presence in a calm, quiet and meditative worship environment.
