Student Requirements: 

Every student is expected to dress out for physical education class every day. Participation is required on a daily basis. Participation requires the student to put forth an acceptable effort in every activity we do in class. Students will be participating in physical fitness activities every week. Physical fitness days may include jogging (timed runs), push ups, sit ups, and other strength and cardiovascular activities. The goal for each student can and should involve cardio and strength improvement as well as an appreciation for fitness for life measures.

Grading:

All students will begin my class with 70 points…or a C-. They will gain/lose points for the following activities:

Gain

Proper Dress – (½) point per day

Timed Runs – (+5)

Loss

Non Participation – (-5) or more

Tardy to class – (-2)

Truant to Class – (-2 or more)

Inappropriate Behavior – (-3)

100-90 = A       89-80 = B       79-70 = C       69-60 = D       59 or Below = F

 Dressing Out

Students need to be dressed in Glendora issued P.E. clothes. All students are required to wear shorts, t-shirt, socks and tennis shoes. On cold days, students will be allowed to wear sweat pants and sweat shirts in the school colors. Loaner clothes will be available for those who forget their clothes.

Restroom

Students will not be allowed to leave class to use the restroom. Make sure to take care of this matter before or after class.

Locker Room

The locker room will be locked during all class periods. Please make sure everything in your locker is put away and your lock is locked.

Roll Call

All students must be on their roll call numbers on time or you will receive a tardy. Any student coming to class more than 5 minutes late is considered a cut

Injury/Sickness

If you are injured or hurt, you need to make sure you have a note from your parents/guardian. If you are injured for more than 3 days, you need a note from a doctor  sayin ghow long you will be out of P.E. for.
