Assistant Professor | Nazarbayev University
Welcome! I am an Assistant Professor of Political Science and International Relations at Nazarbayev University. I received my Ph.D. in Political Science from Michigan State University.
My primary research interest lies in comparative political economy and electoral politics, broadly speaking. I investigate how political actors interact under different economic conditions and political institutions, and then what political consequences these interactions produce in the context of electoral politics. In particular, my research focuses on economic inequality as the main factor which shapes the incentives of political actors and drives various political consequences.
