With Awakenings, Choristry greets the Advent season with a choral program celebrating the ability of masterful music to awaken both hearts and minds.

Dvořák's Stabat Mater

Composed following the deaths of his three children, Dvořák's deeply moving cantata was orginally performed with soloists, choir and piano. Choristry revisits this arrangement in our first concert for 2011.

Choristry in Concert - Symphony

Choristry in Concert - Shakespeare

Choral Settings of texts by William Shakespeare including Vaughan Williams' "Serenade to Music" and "In Windsor Forest" and Trevor Jone's "As You Like It Suite".

Extracts of text from Shakespeare’s plays for singers make for a fun and varied concert. The works include passages from “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”, “The Merry Wives of Windsor” and “As You Like It”.
