I am Choonsik (Chris) Lee, working as an Assistant Professor of Finance at the University of Rhode Island.

My research focuses on corporate governance practices, specifically for information dissemination, disclosures, and proxy voting. Often, I use shareholder activism, from Schedule 13D filings to proxy contests, as a setting to investigate my research questions.

I have certain skill sets to process large datasets efficiently. I also use web crawling and semantic searches (a lot more advanced from simple keyword searches) to deal with corporate filings from the SEC EDGAR and other sources.
