May - July, 2008:  Chong-Zi Chen visited China and designed the Breeze House in Nanjing, China. The project is located at the Southeast Region of the country.  It is very humid during the long summer months in Nanjing.  The design features operable wood shutters throughout the facade and open floor plan for cross ventilation.  The cantilever part of the second floor provide shade for ground floor spaces.

2008 年5月－7月： 陳翀子註冊建築師在中國南京事務所主持了通風住宅的設計。 通風住宅位於潮濕悶熱的江南地區。   設計採用了可開啓木制遮陽門窗作為南北立面的主要建築材料。結合開放式的平面佈局， 木制遮陽門窗打開時加速了室內外的空氣流動。 住宅的二層部份懸挑給一層空間提供了遮蔭。 

2008:  Chong-Zi Chen designed the Courtyard House in Boston, MA.  Rainwater is filtered by the green roof and collected at the courtyard pool for use. Local stone is used as the exterior wall material.

波士顿天井住宅

2008 年： 陳翀子註冊建築師設計了波士顿天井住宅。 在這個項目中， 雨水被屋面的植被吸收和過濾.  之後再被收集到天井中的水池裡作為澆花和調節夏日氣溫等用途。住宅中盡量採用天然的建築材料。 外面牆使用的是當地的石材。

2007-2008:  Chong-Zi Chen is the Assistant Professor at the Department of Architecture, Wentworth Institute of Technology.  He teaches undergraduate design studios and environment systems.   

2007 年－2008 年：陳翀子在波士顿宛沃絲理工大學任助理教授。
