Where can you pitch in?

These children have an urgent need – the basic requirement of shelter. A 2004 survey of the Children’s Home of Hope premises by a licensed government engineer reported that the main building was structurally unsound and unsafe for the children. There is a pressing need to construct a new building at the earliest. The cost will approximately work out to Rs 270 lakhs (about US $600,000).  Your contributions to the Building Fund for the new Hostel would go a long way in caring for these children.  More details may be found here.

You can also help in other ways:

• You could give your time to spend a few moments with the children; it would mean a lot to them
• You could sponsor a child; it costs Rs. 2000 (approx. US $50) per month to provide for a child's basic needs.
  

Donations can also be earmarked for specific expenses like food, clothing, maintenance, medical costs and so on. Benefactors can receive an 80G Income-Tax Exemption Certificate (India).
