Living with the Heat
The apartment is in the ideal position at the top af a hill to catch any breeze that comes along during the day and night and leaving all of the doors and windows open with the fly screens closed gives a good draught though all of the rooms.  All doors have the facility to be held back, which will stop them getting caught in the breeze and slamming, they have a clip which operates when you push them right back and releases when you pull them shut.

Directions
Chlorakas village is about a 10 minute walk away shorter by car.

Leave the apartment and go back onto the main road instead of turning right to go back down the hill, turn left follow the road along until you reach a stop sign at a T junction, turn left follow the road around you will pass the village hall on the right, a small kiosk (small supermarket) and then the cemetery and church on the left this will bring you to the main street.

Both left and right you will find more Kiosks all are quite reasonable and the one on the right Angolo Kiosk is open late, also to the right is an Orphanides Express supermarket open daily, a Chemist (Apothekaria), and a bar/restaurant called Cinters Bar and Grill.

Turning left at the T junction and past a Kiosk you will also find some local day and night life including Bars, Tavernas a Deli and Banks.

If you continue on this road (if you are driving) then after various twists and turns this will eventually bring you out at a large supermarket on the left called Papantonio, (the local version of Tesco's, there are 3 in the Paphos area) here you will get all the provisions you require.

Bus Service
There is no bus service to the village but if you go down the hill to the main road you can get buses both to Paphos, Harbour or Village and Coral Bay in the other direction.  There are many services and they are all regular and well marked as to where they go.

To go to Paphos stay on this side of the main road and catch bus number 610 to the Market via the Harbour.

To go to Coral Bay cross over the main road and get the No 615 bus in the other direction.

The cost is currently €1

TIP If you do catch the bus it is adviseable to get a taxi back as it is a hell of a steep bank to walk up on your return.
