VENUE

Both the ceremony and reception will be held at Vecoma in Snellville, GA. Weather permitting we will be holding at outdoor ceremony. A river runs through the property and weddings are held adjacent to it.

COLORS

The primary color will be blue accented with green for the bouquets and reception decoration.

BRIDAL ATTIRE

The Dress

When I began looking online at dresses I fell in love with this dress and knew it was the one. Well, that was until I actually put it on. I was a litted disappointed. My sister and the bridal consultant brought me several others to try on that weren't working for me. Another bridal consultant intervened and convinced me to try on a strapless dress. I loved it! Which did I choose? I am still deciding if I want to have strap added.

Shoes

Everyone knows I loooooove shoes, but hate white shoes. Reason size 10 feet + white shoes = diaster. I thought I could set those issues aside for a few hours but could not convince myself to pay for something I disliked. Instead I will be going with a silver shoe. So far I have purchased two pair and can't decide which one to go with. So far I am leaning towards the one on the right.

Make-up

On a daily basis you will catch me with my Natural Ice lip balm and maybe some lip gloss. I think this will be the sixth time in my 33 years I will be wearing a "full face" of make up. I would love to have a nice clean natural look.

I like the fact this dress is reasonably priced and can actually be worn again. No more useless dresses! ;-)

Bouquets

Made entirely of pale green cymbidium orchids, the modern arrangement was wrapped with a chocolate ribbon with button detailing. "I didn‘t want the flowers to detract from the beauty of the setting," Jill says.

Save the dates

Lovely tri-fold invitations matched the wedding colors of ivory, chocolate brown, and lavender.

The ultra organized person in me really wants to do the pocketfold invitation, but the lazy person in me doesn't want to do all the work associated with it. Instead I will be ordering these from costco.com

This will be so cute to serve guests as the arrive.

Guests were given personalized bottles of water and programs as they were about to take their seats at the ceremony. Chilled bottles of water, personalized with the couple‘s names and wedding date, kept guests cool during the late springtime celebration.

We will have galvanized buckets filled with bottles of water. It will serve as a favor and be useful for the outdoor ceremony.

The third centerpiece was a square vase filled with lime slices and an arrangement of hydrangeas, cosmos, celosia, and dahlias, accented with berzillia and poppy pods. Each table had the same assortment of short square vases containing a single type of flower, all in the green palette. Shane had the idea to use the aviation alphabet (Alpha, Bravo, Charlie...) as table names, instead of traditional numbers.

Dessert

We are definitely doing a cupcake tree with a cake on top for us.

I finally finished my cake topper. I purchased the wood letter from Crafty Eddy and the rhinestones from Dream creations. It took about an hour and half to finish it.
