Welcome to the world of Chinese folk dance!  

China Wind - Tampere Chinese Dance Group have been performing Chinese Folk and Minority dances since 2004.  Since then, it has grown considerably and now offers a variety of performances  of Chinese Dance and Chinese Minority Dances.

We have performed for many occations already. For example, Tampere Day Event, Chinese Independent Day celebration in Helsinki, Chinese Culture Festival in Tampere and Helsinki, Opening of Chinese Exhibition in Vaprikki Museum, Chinese New Year Celebration,( please see  Photo Gallery ) etc. Luckily we are also reported by many media, such as Aamulehti, Tamperelainen, and also on YLE's program Kotisatama (News Reports Abou Us ) ! 

As the first Chinese dance group in Tampere, Finland, we understand that our group is not only a leisure activity organization , but we also shoulder the responsibility of promoting Chinese arts and culture. We do wish that because our activities and performances, Finnish people start to know more about China and Chinese people.   In addition, we hope that we can also make contributions to making Tampere a lively multi-cultrual city!
